Leeds students honour organ donor pupil who died last year

More than 1,500 students and staff members have paid tribute to a pupil who died last year by spelling out a special message on their sports pitch. Students at The Grammar School at Leeds honoured 12-year-old Hoshi Naylor, who died after being hit by a car in January 2018. Her organs were donated to four people in need of a transplant after she died. Jamal al-Badawi, the al-Qaeda militant behind the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen in 2000, died in a US air strike, President Donald Trump has confirmed. “Our great military has delivered justice for the heroes lost and wounded in the cowardly attack on the USS Cole,” Mr Trump tweeted. Peter Hill-Wood: Arsenal’s former chairman has died at the age of 82

Former Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has died at the age of 82. He became chairman in 1982 and presided over the appointments of George Graham and Arsene Wenger as managers and they won five league titles, five FA Cups, the League Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup between them. Ill health forced Hill-Wood to step down from the position in June 2013. Arsenal say he was also “instrumental” in the successful move from Highbury to Emirates Stadium in 2006. More to follow.
